Blackbird completed the Health and Safety (HS) portion of an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) compliance audit of a 7,378 Ha surface strip coal mine located in Central Alberta. The mine operated two active pits and supplied sub-bituminous coal to a nearby Generating Station. Coal was uncovered using two draglines and a prestripping fleet. Annual production of the mine during the audit was approximately 5.0 million tonnes.
